Wow! What can I say? Congratulations to all involved on a very successful concert.  We performed to an almost sell out audience. Thanks you all so much for your help, support and generosity.   Feedback from choir, audience and school has been very positive.  The Moorfield Primary school choir were certainly entertaining!  Performing their Seasonal Christmas music with a lovely sound and enthusiasm, accompanying many of their songs with actions.

Pianists Chistopher Ellis and Solomon Miles Donnelly worked their magic on the piano with some superb duets which had us all on the edge of our seats.

Our founder and Music Director John Pomphrey guided the choir through an exciting and varied selection of music celebrating the Christmas season. He sent a message of thanks which I have pasted below.

‘What an amazing and fulfilling evening it was for everyone. The School Choir were so enthusiastic throughout the evening, and brought plenty of support .  Our choir were excellent  and we have so much to be proud of.  They deserved the enthusiastic response of the audience.’

The Hospice has embarked on a huge rebuilding project and our aim is to sponsor a bedroom in this new Hospice.  Our current goal is to raise £50,000 before the end of 2025.  So far, we have raised around £30,000 so we still have £20,000 to raise.  In it’s 30 year history the choir has raised over £800,000 for the Hospice but this is the first time we have set ourselves a specific challenge. We were able to present a cheque to Rachel McMillan (CEO of St Ann's Hospice) for £9,176.48 - the total of our years fundraising.

Thanks to our sponsors and ticket sales we estimate that we will be able to donate another £4,500 to the hospice - raised from a very enjoyable and extremely well attended concert.  We will continue to raise funds towards the bedroom at our quiz night in April and our Summer Concert at Stockport Town Hall on 22nd June 2025.
